Being Miss Teen Philippines of CA 2008-2009 was my biggest accomplishment I have ever made yet. I am thankful and honored to be part of this experience. Being part of the Miss Teen Philippines of CA pageant made me realize the important aspect of life; Leadership, Self-Confidence, Integrity, Financial Guidance, and Overcoming my Fears. I have confidence in saying that I can accomplish anything I work hard for. I anticipate in being a positive role model to the future teenagers who struggle with their goals. I got over my fear of public speaking and stage fright. This four month experience really helped me come out of my shell and opened my eyes to all the opportunities life has to offer. My experience was not just learning about the importance of every day life, but to also have fun! Being with the MTP girls in Berkeley, Water World, and even just sitting in the office sharing food brought us all together. I am blessed just being in this pageant and meeting passionate girls I thought I would never meet. Seeing the girls once a week just wasn’t good enough for me. This pageant also brought me and my family together; I had so much support from them since picking out my traditional dress until the moment I got crowned Miss Teen Philippines of CA. I will cherish every moment I had with the girls and every moment that happened out on stage. This has truly been a once in a lifetime experience for me and the girls. I also hope to share my experience with others so that they can learn just as much as I have. Without Joy, Amanda, MTP girls, and all our supporters, we all wouldn’t have shared this special experience! I am so proud to say I am Miss Teen Philippines of CA!
